Milky Oolong Tea

Jin Xuan, often known as milk oolong tea, is a smooth and creamy style of oolong tea. This loose leaf tea is grown in Thailand and is known for its naturally soft, buttery character with a clean and gentle finish.

Lightly oxidised and carefully processed, this tea produces a smooth, well-balanced infusion with a creamy texture, soft floral notes and a mild sweetness. It’s easy to drink throughout the day and a great choice if you enjoy a lighter, more delicate oolong.

The name “milk oolong” comes from its naturally creamy flavour and aroma, giving the tea a smooth, rounded feel without being too strong or overpowering.

This was one of my first introductions to oolong tea, and it’s a style I’d highly recommend if you’re new to oolong or haven’t tried it before. You can also explore other types of tea to discover how different styles vary in flavour, processing and character.
